@michelbencini3991 I don’t think this creator is „misrepresenting,“ I think they are simply sharing recipes that work for THEM. This recipe may create spikes for some, but not for others. Everyone is different, and our bodies react differently to various ingredients. If the dried apricots (or any dried fruit) are too much for you, try fresh apricots (or other fresh fruits). Other fruits like apples, peaches or plums may have less carbs and may cause less of a problem with blood sugars. I am a type 2 diabetic and I can easily figure out simple adjustments to this recipe to make it fit into my restrictions. One thing I will note, however, is that the written recipe says serving size is 8, but she cuts into 6 very generous slices in the video. So in reality, macros will depend on the serving size selected. If you elected to go with a smaller slices for serving size, for example 12 slices, that would drop the net carb from 13g to 8g.
